OKAY, SO I CAME UP WITH A THEROY FOR MLP ONE DAY. THAT TIES IN EVERYTHING.

EVERY-FREAKING-THING.

Timeline? Check.

Reasons for Queen chrysalis's attack on canterlot? What turned Luna into nightmare moon? What released discord? (Lauren Faust has hinted that Luna was turned into nightmare moon due to an evil-er force, same with discord being freed.)

THEROIES FOR SEASON 3?

CHECK THAT FREAKING THING.

So, anyways, i was sitting on the bus with :icondorukoyufangirl: and we were listening to the Discord song, along with "Octavia's oveture" and all that stuff. So, we were sitting there, listening to the music, and I was wondering about what was going on in season 3.

I knew that John de Lancie was coming back to voice Discord for S3, and I wondered about the reason for that. I mean, once they defeat a villian on this show, (Like normal kid's programs..mostly) they never show up again. ever. So why would he come back?

THEN IT HIT ME.

THE BEST IDEA EVER.

So, I came up with this theroy:

You know Tirek? From G1? Well, if you don't, he was some sort of mega-evil beast that used the "rainbow of darkness, herpaderp," to try to blot out the sun, causing eternal night.

Hmmmm... I wonder who this sounds like?

IT WAS A COMPLETLY ORIGINAL IDEA! SHUT UP!
I doubt it.

So anyways, he's defeated by that annoying girl Megan, with the "Rainbow of light, herpaderp." (from some sort or something, whatever) Which vaporizes him. Hip hip hooray.

Now, this is what I think:

1)The rainbow of light: early elements of harmony. It shot the same rainbow colors, was all powerful, etc. It possibly broke into pieces, creating the elements, or... When Celestia used them to defeat Nightmare Moon, they broke into pieces, never to be used by her again unless they have the true elements. (the main six.)

2)Dream valley: Early era equestria. It's where the earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns lived before moving to Equestria. (Like in heart's warming eve.) Due to some kind of accident, (possibly discord-related) the rainbow that connected the two worlds was destroyed, and everyone forgot about the humans.

Now, if you know about G1, you know that they were...fatter ponies, to say in the least. My theroy?

Its the same thing that made us humans go from big, fat, butt ugly monkeys to the slender weirdos we are today. Evolution. Due to farming, and other things, the ponies simply became skinnier.

3) Tirek? Not dead. I believe that he was still alive, just a tiny, tiny spiritual force. He lived for the millenias that Equestria developed, taking over ponies mind's like some sort of parasite-spirit-thing, and somehow got his way into a Luna, (probably promising her power, and her beautiful night lasting forever, yadda yadda yadda)

Then, when he was sealed away, he was able to use his power to release the stars. (after storing his energy for like a thousand years) which freed them. He was then defeated by the elements of harmony, but this time, he was so weakened from moving the stars that he was expelled from Luna's body.

Then, after that, he moved from pony to pony, until he made his way to Discord's statue. He probably knew that Discord had the power to blot out the sun again, and tried to take him over, breaking him from his stone before. He tried to persuade discord to his cause, but Discord refused, (probably saying something along the lines of "eternal night? ew! I'm gonna turn Luna into a toaster. Bye now." you get what I mean)

And, as you know, Discord was sealed in stone again. This time, Tirek went to Queen chrysalis, to align her to his cause. His plan was to have her army infiltrate canterlot, (probably promising her all the positive feelings that could come from that place) so that he would be able to take over Luna, and CELESTIA'S body. They would have to be severly weakened before hand, though, which is where Chrysalis comes in. However, since the entire thing fails, Tirek is dispelled along with the changelings.

Now, for what's going to happen in S3....(not officialy part of this theroy, just some speculation to tie into this)

Tirek is going to return, Get into Luna's body,(creating nightmare moon again) Align himself with Discord, and Chrysalis, then try to do a completly massive freaking WAR-GENOCIDE-THING on all of Equestria... which would probably make the windigos appear too.Just imagine the pure freaking POWER of Tirek, Nightmare moon, Discord, and Queen chrysalis combined.

That'd be like fifty A-bombs that were a love child between Batman and Chuck Norris.

poor ponies.

Now for the timeline...

G1: early mlp. Due to the windigos, they moved to Equestria, all the stuff in heart's warming eve happens. Discord takes over, yadda yadda yadda. (another fan theroy... The barren wasteland the ponies left in heart's warming eve is where the Changelings live now)

G2: Later version of the MLP:Fim universe. maybe.

G3: Oh god..... It was all just a lucid dream by Pinkie pie. Nuff said.

G4: Present day! now all of this has probably taken place over a couple million years, so it's been a long, long time.

Now, what do you guys think? Give me suggestions, feedback, and all kinds of things! This is the first time i've come up with a fan theroy so massive. I guess it's because i'm having pony withdrawl from the long wait for S3
